It is a long-established and popular tradition: at the end of the summer semester, students of the Master's program Marketing/Sales/Media (MVM) at THI Business School always go on an excursion lasting several days. Like last year, the course went to the Austrian capital Vienna. The program of the four-day trip included four visits to the well-known companies Henkel, TUI, New Work (the parent company of XING and Kununu), and Nestle/Nespresso. In the half-day meetings, topics such as sales management or digital marketing strategies were dealt with. But also fundamental aspects of corporate structure, dealing with topics such as sustainability, CSR or New Work were discussed with the companies.

Prof. Alexander Decker, head of the MVM program, reports: "When do you ever have the opportunity to gain so many insights into such well-known companies within a few days as we did during our excursion? It also showed again how practice-oriented MVM is. Many of the topics covered during the excursion were already part of the lectures in the master's program. This was also seen by the excursion participants. What's more, you can also get a very good view behind the scenes of the companies and get a feeling for different cultures. In addition, the students also used the excursion for networking and secured collaborations for master's projects and master's theses."

While there, students had the opportunity to explore Vienna and its many sights.

Excursions like these are an important part of studying at THI Business School, to give students practical examples of what they have learned.
