Your training programme:

Did you know? Every university needs an IT department – so nothing works here without our IT specialists (m/f/d)! Our IT specialists help our THI employees to configure IT systems. They install operating systems, networks and programmes and also set them up independently. If employees ever need a new PC, IT specialists come by and install it at the workplace. You’ll also be involved in providing trouble ticket support and in helping to deal with PC errors and problems. As part of our service team, you’ll get to do a wide range of assignments that are as diverse as our users’ needs. In the course of your training programme, you’ll gradually come to do projects where you can take more independent responsibility. All of this means you are helping us to secure digital sustainability at THI. So our IT specialists (m/f/d) have to be able to multi-task, remain calm under pressure and always bear in mind: user support is the be-all and end-all!

What you have to offer:

  • You have at least a good intermediate school-leaving certificate
  • You are resilient, friendly and communicative
  • You like to work in a team
  • You have genuine organisational talent

Your training programme:

Did you know? Almost every university needs office management assistants, because they have organisational and business skills that ensure smooth administrative processes. This involves handling correspondence, creating presentations, procuring office supplies, issuing invoices, monitoring incoming payments and scheduling appointments. At our university, one particular focus area involving office management assistants is personnel deployment planning – so you can be sure of variety with us! This means our office management assistants have to be able to multi-task, remain calm under pressure and always bear in mind: organisation is the be-all and end-all!

Nice to know: At our university, office management assistants can acquire the additional qualification of foreign language correspondent (m/f/d)!

  • You are friendly, communicative and enjoy working in a team
  • You have a sound sense of structure and a systematic approach, and you are conscientious in everything you do
  • You derive enjoyment from books and new media

Your training programme:

Did you know? The THI has an extensive library on its premises where our Specialists for Media and Information Services – or FaMis, as they are called – have their workplace. Here they advise and support library users when it comes to borrowing media and books, as well as creating orders in the electronic delivery system, maintaining library stocks and keeping our library tidy! You will also conduct research on various topics and be involved in structuring and maintaining the library collections. For this reason, you must have an interest in digital systems and media, be customer-oriented and communicative, and always be able to stay on top of things organisationally when things get busy. Without our FaMis, nothing would function in the library!

Would you like to apply for a job with us? Great! We look forward to receiving your application documents! Please remember to use the “Apply online” button at the end of the vacancy and send us your complete documents. These include:

  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Cover letter stating why you want to train for this profession and why you would like to start with us
  • School reports and internship certificates

We will start by checking whether your application is complete and then confirm receipt. Once we have assessed your application, we will decide whether to invite you to an introductory interview and potentially have you do a practical test that involves carrying out a task by yourself. If we like your application, the next step is for us to get to know you so as to decide whether you’re a good match for us and we’re a good match for you. The initial interview gives us the chance to find out who you are. We’re particularly interested in why you’ve chosen this profession and our university as a place to do your vocational training, how you’re doing at school, whether you’ve done any internships and what you do in your free time. Depending on the profession, you will then be set a test task that you have to complete on site. If everything goes well and we’re satisfied with what we see, we will offer you a training contract. It may take some time between your initial application and the contract signing, but we will always make sure you’re informed about the next stage in good time.

If you have any further questions about the application process or the selection interview, you’re welcome to get in touch with your contact person shown here on the right.
