Lecturer (m/f/d) in the field of “Quantitative Methods” (2–6 SWS in German language)

To strengthen our teaching team, we are seeking an adjunct instructor (m/f/d) starting in the 2026/27 winter semester who, as a specialist in the field of quantitative methods, can selectively supplement and deepen our course offerings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will teach courses in the following degree programs: Business Administration
    • International Management
    • Global Economics and Business Management
    • Media Psychology and Digital Business
  • Course content includes, among other topics:
    • Fundamentals of probability theory
    • Random variables and distributions of random variables
    • Parameter estimation and hypothesis testing
    • Application of the learned concepts to datasets using the statistical software R
    • Regression analysis
  • Your course schedule will follow the academic calendar for the respective summer semester (mid-March to early July) or winter semester (October to early February) and can be flexibly arranged within this framework by mutual agreement.
  • You will familiarize yourself with the electronic media used at THI and will also be able to use them in your teaching.


Your Profile:

  • You hold a university degree and possess pedagogical aptitude, demonstrated by experience in teaching or professional practice.
  • You have at least three years of relevant professional experience, toward which teacher training periods of up to one year may be credited. Exceptions may be made in justified individual cases.
  • Furthermore, you enjoy interacting with students and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • You are able to address the needs of students from diverse cultural backgrounds. You are familiar with modern electronic media.

The teaching assignment is limited to the duration of the course, up to a maximum of one semester. The university aims to establish a long-term collaboration. Compensation, including travel expenses, is paid according to the current rates for external lecturers at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt.
