Stay abroad

International experience improves your prospects in the job market not only because of the good foreign language skills you acquire whilst abroad, but above all through the additional ‘soft skills’ you gain – key qualities such as independence, tolerance, flexibility and intercultural competence. For many students, a period spent abroad whilst studying is an important step towards greater independence.

Freemover

Missed the application deadline? Haven’t found a suitable partner university? If so, you can still undertake a ‘freemover’ stay abroad. This involves organising your own stay abroad, meaning you’re responsible for choosing the university, applying and handling all other arrangements yourself. This means you’ll be participating outside the scope of THI’s exchange programmes.
