Transfer in projects and initiatives

Transfer is the focus of numerous research and network projects at THI.


With the joint project Mensch in Bewegung, the university generates important impulses for the sustainable, economic and social development of the Ingolstadt region via central thematic areas.

transform.10 supports small and medium-sized enterprises in positively shaping the transformation of the automotive industry and creating a competitive future.

In the 5GoIng project, the Ingolstadt region bundles its numerous competences in the field of innovative mobility and creates an open development and demonstration platform for 5G applications with a focus on "connected mobility".

  1. ACE²EU

    THI is part of the European ACE2-EU alliance, which promotes the development of a digital, international campus to prepare students, researchers and staff for key future issues such as sustainability, social justice and the digital transformation. Through collaboration with over 50 partners from the worlds of business, politics and culture, the project strengthens the close links between the university and the professional world, as well as THI’s international network.

  2. Hello MINT

    ServusMINT is a joint project run by Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (THI), the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU), IFG and Brigk. It supports school pupils in the region who have a particular interest in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). To this end, the partners develop practical educational programmes and provide a network to support school pupils.

  3. People on the Move

    ‘Mensch in Bewegung’ is a regional knowledge transfer project run by THI in collaboration with the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. It focuses on the major transformative processes of our time, such as sustainability, climate change, artificial intelligence (AI), digitalisation and the strengthening of democracy and society. The exchange of knowledge and ideas between academia, business, politics and civil society is actively promoted.

  1. AININ

    THI is part of an AI network bringing together academia, industry and society, united by a single goal: to conduct practical research into forward-looking topics in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning and to ensure they can be put into practice.

  2. Audi Confucius Institute, Ingolstadt

    The Confucius Institute is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the Chinese language and culture. It is sponsored by the German THI and the Chinese South China University of Technology (SCUT).

  3. CALAI – THI’s Academic Centre for Latin America

    CALAI sees itself as a bridge between Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and Latin America. It provides an academic platform for collaboration and the sustainable exchange of knowledge and ideas.

  4. SAFIR

    Safety for All Innovative Research Partnership on Global Vehicle and Road Safety Systems: By the end of 2025, THI could look back on eight successful years of research, during which academia, industry and public sector partners had worked together to shape the mobility of the future.
