Exclusive offers for partner schools
Partner schools benefit from a wide range of support and networking opportunities offered by THI. These include specialist support for seminars, for pupils’ research projects and for career and higher education guidance, for example as part of career guidance days. Teachers can also benefit from professional development opportunities and the annual ‘Round Table Education Partners’ networking event.

THI FUTURELAB
The THI FUTURELAB offers a wide range of scientific activities for groups, as well as for particularly interested and committed school pupils. The focus is on programmes to nurture talent, exciting research and experimentation opportunities, and practical insights into science and technology. Group sessions can be booked by schools, particularly partner schools.

Competitions
THI supports young talents in bringing their ideas and research projects to fruition and presenting them to a wider audience. These include the regional ‘Jugend forscht’ competition, in which school pupils can present their innovative projects, and the THI’s own Youth Sustainability Award, which recognises outstanding ideas and projects relating to sustainability.

STEM Makers
Through MINTmacher, the THI’s network for STEM education in Region 10, the university is committed to supporting school pupils, teachers and educational staff in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. The programme includes exciting holiday programmes that provide a hands-on approach to science and technology. In addition, teachers and educational professionals are supported through professional development courses to help them integrate current STEM topics into their lessons. Through the Expert Service, subject specialists visit schools and nursery schools to support the teaching of science and technology topics and to further foster a spirit of inquiry among children and young people.
