As part of the THI Talent program, students receive special support but are also challenged with additional obligations in addition to their regular studies. In addition to above-average study results, participants should therefore also have a strong interest in interdisciplinary topics, a desire to actively participate in the design of innovative projects, a high level of commitment and a willingness to shape the future, and also be prepared to help develop an attractive network.
The official programme begins in mid-June with a joint kick-off event where the participants of the new cohort can get to know each other. The interdisciplinary team projects will then begin in the winter semester and will be driven and designed by the committed participants in the following three semesters. The teams are supported in their project work by selected contact persons. In order to strengthen the cooperation in the projects and the entire cohort, (digital) exchange meetings take place approximately every six weeks. All project teams present the current status and are informed by the program management about upcoming dates. In the last semester of the program, the participants finalize their projects and present them to a selected committee. Upon successful participation, the students will receive a university certificate in which their achievements are listed. Participants who voluntarily participate actively in the interdisciplinary team project will receive a separate note on their certificate.
Another special component of THI Talent is mentoring. All students are assigned a mentor for the entire duration of the programme, from whose specialist knowledge and experience the participants benefit. In addition, exclusive workshops and seminars are held every semester.
Each semester, exclusive seminars & workshops in the field of personal development are offered to the program participants. The offer is divided into the thematic focuses of leadership & communication, business etiquette & style training and career planning & consulting. The events are offered by professional trainers and coaches.
In order to expand the personal network, but above all to benefit from the experience of successful personalities from politics, business and culture, discussion groups, company excursions and joint visits to cultural events are organised every semester as part of the support programme.
In addition to the events, the program focuses on the joint design of an interdisciplinary and socially relevant project. In doing so, the committed students not only learn the basics of project management, but also take responsibility for the planning and implementation as well as the successful completion of the project. To support the students, they have access to the technical and methodological support of a selected contact person and a project budget.
