The Central IT Service provides members of the university with a system for using non-public services of THI (e.g. access to group or home drives and electronic books and magazines).

Access via the browser

The SSL VPN web application allows access to non-public services of THI via any web browser, without the installation of additional software. This is helpful if you do not have the necessary rights to install software on the computer (e.g. in Internet cafés) or do not want to install any software.

Access via "Cisco AnyConnect" software.

In order to use software with university licences or to connect network drives, you need the software Cisco AnyConnect. You can find instructions for setting up the software in the "Download" box on the right.

If you have already installed the software "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client" please sign in the field "Connect" the adress of our VPN server: sslvpn.thi.de

Access to services of the library

For technical and security reasons, we can no longer offer access to library services via web-VPN. Please temporarily use the VPN client. Instructions for installing the client can be found on this page at the right side in the download area.

Alternatively, you can now access to databases and e-books from the library outside the campus through our EZproxy. Further information can be found on the pages of the library.
