University Management

The university executive board consists of the president, two vice-presidents and the chancellor. The president of the university is the chairman of the executive board. The president elaborates the university policy guidelines and takes a pro-active role in the development of the university. The executive board is responsible for all university affairs and it decides on the allocation of staff and financial resources. The university management requires the consent of the university council in fundamental decisions and budget affairs.

The Extended University Governing Board (EHL) advises and supports the University Management in fulfilling its tasks. Among other things, it draws up the development plan, decides on the focal points of the budget and decides on applications to divide the university into faculties. 

The Extended University Governing Board includes the deans of the faculties. The Chair of the Senate participates in the meetings of the Extended University Governing Board as advisory members.
