Anton Stankowski is considered one of the "greats" of Concrete Art who also succeeded in becoming a leader in the field of graphic design.

He lived and worked from 1906 to 1998 and designed famous and timeless logos such as that of Deutsche Bank.

UXD students take up his thoughts and attitude by presenting not so much the finished product of their own student work, but an "other", usually hidden side of design: the design process.

Based on six different sketches by Anton Stankowski, the students' task was to animate these sketches and thus "bring them to life". How do you think Anton Stankowski would have set his works in motion if he had had the technical possibilities at the time?

A transfer from a purely graphic representation into the third and fourth dimension: space and time. An exciting and challenging task for the students.

The project was carried out as part of the second semester in the subject "Fundamentals of Design II" of the User Experience Design course. The work was supervised byProf. Ingrid Stahl and Paul Kaufmann.
Six of the students' works can be seen at the Museum für Konkrete Kunst (MKK) until 25 September 2022.
