The Ingolstadt Patent Talks take up current topics and developments from the field of industrial property protection, which is important for companies, on a Thursday of each month from 4.30 to 6.00 pm. In a digital format, experts give interesting insights and news about industrial property protection in short lectures, discussions, and a chat.

The Ingolstadt Patent Talks 2023 will begin on the 19th of October 2023 with a kick-off event entitled "Innovation Booster IP".  Eva Schewior, President of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, could be won as a speaker. In her opening lecture, she will talk about "Technology trends and news from the DPMA". This will be followed by a practical report by THI professor Martin Bader on "IP management for SMEs and start-ups". The series will be continued on 23 November 2023 and 21 December 2023. The program includes current topics such as "Patent litigation in changing times" and "The new European patent system".

IP-interested parties can participate live in the stream and ask questions or watch the recording at a later time. The livestream is publicly accessible at https://www.thi.de/elektro-und-informationstechnik/ingolstaedter-patentgespraeche  - registration is not required.

The topic of IP is anchored in many ways at THI: New at the university is the master's degree program in patent engineering, a unique course of study in Germany that combines future technologies with IP expertise. The Ingolstadt Patent Day, which will take place again on 23 October 2024, also offers a practical exchange on current IP practice topics. The TrainInG program teaches IP skills to SMEs and start-ups through digital training modules and networking events. A special feature of all IP formats at the THI is the practical relevance with transferability to daily IP work.
