Little explorers on the move

Adventure for the children, relief for the parents. This year's THI Family Day was once again a complete success. 54 boys and girls explored the campus on the school-free Day of Prayer and Repentance and visited the fire brigade and the Museum of Medical History.

This will be a challenge for Father Christmas: Ever since Mika Heßler sat in the THI research vehicle ANTON last Wednesday, he has been certain: "I want one of these too. Preferably for Christmas." The secondary school pupil from Hallertau took part in THI's Family Day together with 53 other children aged between six and twelve.

The day started at eight o'clock: After the welcome, the pupils experienced an exciting and educational program: some visited the fire brigade, others the Museum of Medical History. A third group stayed at the university and gained insights into robotics, aeronautical engineering, and vehicle safety research. After many interesting impressions and lunch at Reimanns, the children were picked up by their parents.

The day certainly made a big impression on Mika: he wanted to know whether the THI would still exist when he graduated. Then he would take another close look at ANTON.
