In the categories "Team" and "Individual", awards will be given for projects or work inside and outside of the daily school routine that can be assigned to one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, an audience award will be presented.

"We want to offer committed young people a stage. Sustainable concepts thrive on involving as many people as possible - that is the focus of the award," explains organizer and jury member Bettina Markl from THI. When registering, a short video depicting the respective project must be submitted. The status of the work is of secondary importance. The idea and the spirit count more than milestones that have already been realized.

The university and its network partners offer to accompany all participants in the further implementation of their projects and to support them with contacts. The network partners and sponsors of the prizes are the Hipp company, IFG Ingolstadt, Initiative Regionalmanagement Region Ingolstadt e.V. (IRMA), and the Institute for Applied Sustainability (inas).

The organization team will be happy to answer questions about applying for the Youth Sustainability Award by phone at 0841/9348-7733 or bildungspartner@thi.de.

The application deadline is 7th May 2024. The award ceremony will take place on 21 June 2024. There, the finalists of the team award will present their projects once again. Only then will the ranking be determined. Further information at: www.thi.de/go/nachhaltigkeitspreis
