By 2030, nine million employees in Germany will leave the labor market, but only six million will join them. What do we do with the demographic gap?  Will we all have to work longer? Do we need skilled labour from abroad or will artificial intelligence provide solutions to the shortage of skilled workers that is increasingly burdening our economy and society?

After a lecture by futurologist and trend researcher Tristan Horx on the future of work, THI will discuss these questions with participants from science and business in workshops and discussion rounds - including with IFG Managing Director and Economics Officer Professor Georg Rosenfeld, IHK Managing Director Catherine Schrenk, and Airbus Site Manager Stefan Römelt.  The THI expressly invites interested members of the public to attend the event. Admission is free.
