SAFIR at the practical conference "Safety Assist"

The Safety Assist practical conference will take place from 15 to 16 September 2020 at the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (THI) and will consolidate all relevant development framework conditions such as requirements, fundamentals as well as development and release methods into a theory day, which will be followed by a practical day on the test track. Various test scenarios are run and examples of the use of the test technology are shown live in the test setup.

Two vehicles drive on the test track

In the course of the BMBF-funded SAFIR project, a team of researchers led by Prof. Dr. Michael Botsch and cooperation partners from industry is developing new methods for object tracking, situation interpretation and trajectory planning, thus impressively demonstrating the interaction between real experiments and virtual simulation. On the first day of the event a road test will be demonstrated on the CARISSMA open-air testing area. Three dynamic objects will simulate the entry, passage and exit of a traffic circle.
