Profile

Why did you decide on this study course?

I was interested in construction right from the start, but economic subjects also appealed to me. With the Industrial Engineering and Business - Construction study course, I found the perfect combination.

What does your academic study program involve?

You start your academic studies with the basics of engineering, such as mechanics and, of course, math. In addition, you will get your first insights into the field of civil engineering and the economic basics. In the course of the academic study this combination continues, whereby the economic part becomes somewhat larger towards the end.

What do you like best about THI?

You study Industrial Engineering - Construction at the "Sustainable Infrastructure" campus in Neuburg. Here I particularly like the close contact with the professors, the rather small study groups and being able to help shape the development of the relatively new campus.

What professional strengths should you bring to the study course?

Analytical thinking, some technical understanding and communication skills, the rest can be learned. ;)

What has been your best project in academic study so far?

I particularly enjoyed the excursions to the new modular building during the various construction phases, because you could see what you had learned in practice right away.

What career options do you have after completing your bachelor's degree?

You will mainly have planning and management tasks in the construction sector, such as taking over the project management of a construction project or working in facility management. It is also possible to supervise sustainability processes in the construction industry.
