In the winter semester 2021/22, the university location Neuburg started with Bachelor's degree programmes in the field of sustainable infrastructure. In October 2022, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jana Bochert provisionally took over as the founding dean. The professor of construction informatics, construction mechanics and fundamentals of civil engineering was now officially elected to the office of dean in January 2023.

On Monday, 13 February 2023, the members of the Faculty Council voted on other offices at the first meeting. Prof. Dr Oliver Blask was elected as associate dean. Blask teaches in the field of construction chemistry and building materials technology. The Dean of Studies is Prof. Dr. Martin Dirr. His focus is sustainable product development, manufacturing and supply chain management. Together with Prof. Bochert, they form the Faculty Board.

The council members elected Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Holzhammer as the women's representative. He is head of the Research and Transfer Centre Sustainability (ForTraNN) and teaches in the field of energy systems engineering. Prof. Dr. Andreas Haese is the chairman of the examination board. His area of appointment is solid construction and building construction. The internship officer is Prof. Dr. Holger Hoppe, who is also responsible for the Sustainability and Environmental Management degree programme.

"Today's first Faculty Council of the Faculty of Sustainable Infrastructure was a complete success - the election proposals were unanimously approved, so that we can now get to work together. I look forward to the next semester with a well-staffed Faculty Council," said founding Dean Jana Bochert.

The Faculty of Sustainable Infrastructure, based in Neuburg an der Donau, offers the degree programmes Sustainable Civil Engineering, Sustainability and Environmental Management, Industrial Engineering - Construction and, from the coming winter semester 2023/24, the purely English-language degree programme Sustainable Civil Engineering.
