Inflation, energy crisis, shortage of skilled workers - the challenges for the participants of the business simulation were realistic and demanding. As young board members of a public company, THI students Darius Zamiri, Cedric Krumbholz, Tim Weise, Jessica Basista, and Luca Bergmoser made strategic and operational business decisions for four planning periods. At this year's host, the company Vitesco Technologies, they spent two days analyzing economic news, observing competitors, and finding compromises.
At the end of the fourth period, the teams, which were divided into two markets, presented their results to a competent jury. The two market winners, THI and TH Rosenheim, had to prove in a "play-off" which was the more sustainable company. The focus was on the company's strategic orientation about sustainability, ecology, and the environment. "It was very complex to consider all the variables - and it was a lot of fun," said Jessica Basista.
At the end of the competition, there was one winning team and many winners. Networks were made - with other students and with Vitesco employees. The first-place winners from THI, supervised by Professor Dr Andreas Jattke, were delighted to receive an Apple iPad.
