In an interdisciplinary student project, eleven students from the two degree programmes "Electrical Engineering and Information Technology" and "Electrical Engineering and Electromobility" worked on a vehicle in the summer semester 2023. The result is a fantastic robotic vehicle called "RoboCar". The students were rewarded for this at the last academic celebration with an award for an outstanding student project.

The vehicle will now be used in teaching from the first semester onwards as part of the introductory project or basic practical course. Thanks to a wide range of sensors, including ultrasound, infrared and speed sensors, the vehicle will also be able to make a valuable contribution in more advanced courses. . The next step on the programme is to use the RoboCar as a demonstrator for the development of charging infrastructure for electric cars. It is fascinating to see what impressive developments can emerge from a student project.

Congratulations on the award and thank you once again to our students on the project team for their commitment:

Lars Bergauer, Daniel Böhm, Stefan Egner, Rebekka Ferg, Jonas Flierler, Lukas Gabler, Simon Kraus, Maximilian Maier, Bernhard Meyer, Hannes Portune and Neil Weidner.

Special thanks also go to Simon Kraus for the great video, which can be seen on our study programme page and will always remind us of this project: https://youtu.be/613Ef1Mwmg0
