Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt mourns the death of

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Schmidt.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Schmidt had been Professor of Computer Engineering and Robotics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology since October 2003. As head of the degree course for many years, he designed and organized the "Mechatronics/Robotics" field of study with dedication and personal commitment and helped to set up the robotics laboratory. High-quality and application-oriented teaching has always been a matter close to Prof. Dr. Schmidt's heart.

Prof. Dr. Schmidt passed away at the age of 68 after a long illness. In him, we have lost an extremely reliable and experienced colleague who was always committed to his students and was always on hand with advice and a helping hand.

Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt will always honor his memory.
