The livestream focussed on the European Unitary Patent and the Unified Patent Court, whose establishment in 2023 was accompanied by far-reaching changes in the European patent system.

Prof Dr Sabine Boos, Heilbronn University, gave an update on the basics of the Unitary Patent system and Dr Tobias Wuttke, BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, spoke on the question: "What impact will the new Unified Patent Court have on German industry?". The subsequent discussion, moderated by Prof. Dr Andrea Klug and Dr Christian Mohr, focused on the options offered by the new system, the strategic and operational decisions required for this and the discussion of the first court decisions.

Those interested in IP were able to follow the stream live and can also access the recording afterwards via the link on the Ingolstadt Patent Talks homepage. The Ingolstadt Patent Talks will be continued in 2024. Further information can be found at: https://www.thi.de/elektro-und-informationstechnik/ingolstaedter-patentgespraeche/
