Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt opened its doors on Saturday, 25.03.2023, and invited interested parties to explore the campus and find out about the courses on offer.

In various presentations, Prof. Mecking and Prof. Hunsinger introduced the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and its degree programmes. Questions were answered individually and details were given on the course structure and career prospects. Our robots and our autonomous vehicle ANTON, which was explained in detail by Prof. Vaculin, were particularly popular.

Study ambassadors conducted campus tours and were open to all questions. In small groups, interested parties were given direct insights into student life by THI students in guided tours lasting almost an hour each and thus also got to know the campus.

The numerous laboratory tours were also in great demand. Prof. Pfitzner gave an exciting insight into the robotics laboratory. Prof. Passig showed the microcomputer technology lab and how, in the interdisciplinary practical course of the Biomedical Engineering degree programme (from WS 2023/24), knowledge from the theoretical courses is linked and applied across disciplines to design and prototype simple microcontroller-based medical technology devices (e.g. pulse oximeters). In the Life Science Lab, Prof. Karg's team was available to answer questions. Here, the topic "From Heart to Hearing" attracted visitors and invited them to participate. The research team Electromobility and Learning Systems presented its work on innovative concepts for electric vehicle drives. Using test set-ups, Martin Nachtsheim and Markus Kohler showed how research is carried out here.

The highlight was the live broadcast from the operating theatre of Ingolstadt Hospital. Here, Prof. Eckert and Prof. Lehner, together with life science colleagues, gave an exciting insight into modern medical technology.
