Brazilian Research Institute Visits THI

The focus of the meeting organised by the AWARE Centre was the exchange with Professor Anderson Ribeiro Correia, President of the IPT. Discussions centred on the establishment of a new institute for automotive research with a focus on vehicle dynamics, vehicle safety and automated driving. The CARISSMA of the THI, the nationwide control centre for vehicle safety, is regarded as a pioneering model. Other areas of cooperation were also discussed.

A central component of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement forms the basis for a scientific partnership that will lead to concrete projects.

THI is focusing on internationalisation and strategically strengthening its relations with South America. The cooperation with the IPT opens up great potential for pioneering research projects and the global exchange of knowledge,’ emphasised THI President Professor Walter Schober.
