International Energy Research

The research group International Energy Research focuses on intersectoral and decentralized energy solutions, emphasizing renewable energy integration across diverse global applications.

Research spans smart grids, off-grid energy supply, rural electrification, sustainable mobility, e-mobility, Agri-Photovoltaics (Agri-PV), and the Water-Energy-Food (W-E-F) nexus for sustainable energy deployment in both urban and rural settings. With a primary focus on Africa and Asia, the group actively engages in real-world technology piloting and implementation, collaborating closely with industry partners and international stakeholders.
