Strategic kick-off and networking of European initiatives
NAWA's activities and initial ideas for joint projects with ACE²-EU were presented at the start of the conference. The guest alliances ENHANCE (Politechnika Gdańska) and SEA-EU (Uniwersytet Gdański) also presented their many years of work and outlined prospects for future cooperation.
Best practices and future planning
The second day of the conference focussed on the main topics of the ACE²-EU work packages. In an interactive panel, representatives of various alliances discussed the challenges and opportunities of European university cooperation - with the aim of identifying synergies and further strengthening cooperation.
Prof Anna Żaczek, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation at GUMed, emphasised in her statement: "For me, an alliance is not just a project - it's a promise. A promise that education can overcome borders, that collaboration can bring about real change and that our universities can become more open, more connected and more human. ACE²-EU is a lifestyle - an attitude."
Diversity Day as an inspiring finale
GUMed's Diversity Day was the festive finale. In open formats with music, culture and international food, the spirit of European university alliances was brought to life for everyone and sent a strong signal in favour of diversity, inclusion and living European values.
The conference provided new impetus for the strategic direction of ACE²-EU and highlighted the potential of joint European education initiatives - across borders.
