As part of the "Biomedical Engineering" module, the second semester students on the Life Science Management study program at THI Business School went on an excursion to the international pharmaceutical company Vetter Pharma on Lake Constance. They were accompanied by Prof. Dr Alexander Schuhmacher, the program director.

On site, the participants gained valuable insights into the ultra-modern processes involved in the production and sterile filling of parenterals - drugs that are administered by injection. In addition, practical aspects of pharmaceutical development, automation and the digitalisation of production processes were vividly conveyed.

Special thanks go to Mr Jörg Zimmermann, Vice President External Affairs at Vetter Pharma, who enriched the day with his expertise and practical contributions.

Excursions like this are an important part of studying at THI Business School, offering students practical examples of what they have learned.

Applications for the Life Science Management course for the winter semester are still being accepted until 31 August.
