Information literacy is a key factor for success in school, university, and professional life today, especially in a world that is increasingly shaped by AI.

We support you and your students in developing these skills in a targeted manner—with interactive formats, clearly focused topics, and a design that is tailored to the needs of the participants.

Pupils and students

Are you attending a grammar school, FOS, BOS or a technical master school and need scientific literature for your seminar paper?
You can also use our library services as a pupil.

Use without a library card:
The THI library is available to you free of charge without any further requirements. You can access an extensive selection of academic literature and numerous databases on site. You will also find quiet workstations in the reading room for concentrated work and study.
Use with a library card:
If you would like to borrow media or order literature from other libraries for collection from us, you will need a library card, which you can obtain here here.

Teachers

Are you a teacher at a secondary school and would like to prepare your students specifically for seminar papers and specialist papers? We can help you with this.

In our introduction to academic research, your classes will acquire the key skills they need to reliably find and critically assess specialised literature and use it sensibly for their own work.

Our events usually last 90 minutes and prepare your students optimally for the requirements of a scientific paper.

Are you organising the Science Week for Year 11 at your school and would like to arouse your students' curiosity and interest in scientific work? We can support you in this by teaching students the basic methodological skills of scientific work, training their AI skills and preparing them for the W-seminar in the upper school.
Would you like to improve your own research skills or learn about new AI tools? Talk to us and arrange an individual appointment - also for the whole school.

Artificial intelligence is on everyone's lips - and you want to make your school fit for the future? Are you already familiar with ChatGPT and want to give your pupils a sound introduction to the basic functions at an early stage? We are happy to come directly to your school and offer practical introductions to various AI tools - suitable for middle school and above.
