The HyTACC is being established in Pfeffenhausen near Landshut and is being set up by the project partners HynErgy GmbH, Landshut University of Applied Sciences, East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg and Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences. It specialises in hydrogen commercial vehicles and realistic whole-vehicle testing. Within the HyTACC research network, Landshut University of Applied Sciences is working on thermal components, Regensburg University of Applied Sciences is conducting research into hydrogen combustion engines, and Ingolstadt University of Technology is researching complete vehicles.
Objectives and Ideas
HyTACC Pfeffenhausen is part of the nationwide ITZ-H2 initiative to establish application-oriented research and testing infrastructures for hydrogen technologies in mobility. The ITZ locations North, East, West and South are thematically complementary and together cover mobility, industry and infrastructure along the hydrogen value chain. Within the network, the HyTACC Pfeffenhausen focuses on hydrogen-based commercial vehicles and whole-vehicle testing under realistic conditions. The networking of the ITZ locations creates a nationwide innovation ecosystem for industry, SMEs and research to accelerate the market introduction of hydrogen technologies.
