THI presents itself at ITSC

From September 24th to 28th, the renowned International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC) took place in Bilbao, Spain. Professor Stefanie Schmidtner and Professor Torsten Schön also presented their current research results together with Ph.D. students from different THI professorships.

At the ITSC, globally recognized experts outlined the latest developments in the field of intelligent mobility systems. These include the collection, processing and presentation of data on vehicles with their contents to be transported, the dispatch and receipt of people or goods. Intelligent transportation systems support coordination within or between transportation systems such as road, rail, marine, and air.

As a mobility university, THI is particularly well-positioned in this research field with the nationwide CARISSMA scientific control center for vehicle safety and the AI mobility node AImotion Bavaria. "The fact that we are so strongly represented here is certainly due to the interdisciplinary cooperation at THI and the funding provided by the Hightech Agenda," said Torsten Schön, Professor of Computer Vision for Intelligent Mobility Systems.

The conference provided an exceptional platform for networking and collaboration. Participants were able to present and discuss their research results, engage in numerous interesting conversations, and exchange ideas and network during the breaks.
