Maschinenbauliche Grundlagen (Zertifikat)

The Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals higher education certificate provides a sound technical basis for analysing, designing and developing mechanical systems in a vehicle context. It is aimed at anyone who wants to acquire or deepen a solid understanding of central Engineering Sciences principles.

The focus is on the physical principles of thermodynamics and mechanical dynamics, which are essential for understanding complex motion and energy processes. Building on this, participants learn how to apply measurement and control engineering methods in a vehicle-specific context in order to analyse and optimise technical systems.

Another focus is on the mathematical design and functional selection of machine elements. As a result, participants acquire the ability to safely dimension technical components and efficiently integrate them into overall systems.

The certificate is an integral part of the part-time Bachelor's degree course in Automotive Engineering and can be fully credited.
