THI Business School is delighted to welcome Dr Andrea Funk as a substitute professor. For two years, she will mainly teach in the study programmes "Entrepreneurship and Corporate Venturing", "Marketing/Sales/Media" and "Digital Business".
After a Bachelor's degree in "Modern China" at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and Peking University, Dr Funk completed her Master's degree in "Management & Finance" at the University of Sussex. She returned to Würzburg for her PhD in Economics. She has also been a graduate of the Bavarian Elite Academy Foundation since 2016.
In 2014, Dr Funk founded DECIDER, a beverage-venture that won the Ingolstadt Founder's Award in 2019. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as an Entrepreneurship Manager at THI and has been supporting THI Business School as a lecturer ever since. Most recently, she worked in sales for the startups Organic Garden and FarmInsect.
