For two days, a group of students from Babson College visited THI Business School's Entrepreneurship and Corporate Venturing program. The private US university, which specialises in entrepreneurship education, organises an annual excursion through Europe and this is the third time that THI's entrepreneurship students have visited.
During their stay, the guests gained insights into various facets of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ingolstadt. The programme included a tour of the Audi plant, where production processes and innovation approaches were presented. At the university, the students then worked together on a case study on startups from the Ingolstadt region and discussed different entrepreneurial approaches.
Another item on the programme was a visit to brigk, the digital startup centre directly on the campus of Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. The focus there was on topics such as startup culture, financing, team building and scaling in an international comparison. It became clear that the framework conditions and processes differ between the USA and Germany, but that the basic entrepreneurial mindset has many similarities.
The exchange was rounded off with an evening together in a traditional Bavarian restaurant, which gave the international guests an insight into the regional culture. The visit once again emphasised the value of international perspectives in the context of entrepreneurship and the shared aspiration to further develop ideas and take on entrepreneurial responsibility.
