The showroom has undergone extensive development in terms of technology and content. New virtual experimentation rooms and interactive exhibits invite visitors to experience research first-hand. In addition to the previous mobility topics, the showroom is now also dedicated to the areas of Artificial Intelligence, digitalisation, sustainability, and future technologies - topics that are currently particularly influential for science and society. The Science Showroom can now be reached at the following address: https://thi-science.de/
The programme was created as part of the Mensch in Bewegung transfer project, a joint project between THI and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Together with partners from business, politics, and civil society, the universities are building a regional network for the exchange of knowledge on the topics of innovative mobility, digital transformation, sustainable development, and civic engagement. The project is being funded over five years with around 15 million euros as part of the "Innovative University" funding initiative by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Free State of Bavaria.
With the digital Science Showroom, THI is expanding its transfer program and bringing current research results to the public in a way that is tailored to the target group. Specialists, students, companies, educational institutions, and interested members of the public are invited to explore the platform - and actively contribute their thoughts.
