Description

The NEwAIste project aims to develop AI-based analysis, planning and optimization algorithms to minimize the emissions and costs of transporting waste. There are many factors that influence the time and fuel consumption per ton of waste and they are closely interrelated. These factors include the logistics system used, the size and filling level of the containers, the order combinations and the route planning. These decisions have to be made in a very dynamic environment, and AI approaches can lead to profitable innovations here.
