Fahrzeugtechnologie (Zertifikat)

In the Vehicle Technology certificate, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of the structure, functionality and behaviour of modern vehicles in the event of an accident. You will learn how to technically assess combustion, hybrid and electric drives and analyse their influence on accident reconstruction.

You will also deal with the dynamics of road users and modern safety and driver assistance systems. The programme combines practice-oriented Automotive Engineering with current forensics and optimally prepares you for demanding tasks in accident analysis and vehicle safety.

The certificate is an integral part of the part-time master programme in Accident Analysis and is fully creditable.

In the Vehicle Technology certificate, you will acquire practical knowledge about modern vehicle concepts and their behaviour in the event of an accident. You will learn

  • analyse and assess the components, functionality and behaviour of combustion, hybrid and electric drives
  • assess the influence of energy storage systems and drive concepts on accident reconstruction
  • technically understand safety and assistance systems and assess their effect in an accident

Admission and application
  • Proof of successful completion of an academic study programme in Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technology or Computer Science at a German university or a comparable degree with at least 210 ECTS credit points or equivalent or an equivalent successful domestic or foreign degree.
  • Proof of at least one year of relevant, qualified professional experience after graduation.
