International, interdisciplinary & future-oriented: start of the semester at the Sustainability Campus Neuburg

Indonesia, Egypt, Ireland, and Luxembourg - to name just a few countries of origin: The start of the summer semester at the Sustainability Campus Neuburg was characterised by international diversity. Students from over 110 nations are currently enrolled at THI at both locations. For many of them, the Start of studies also marks the beginning of a new phase in their lives in Germany.

THI President Professor Walter Schober used the welcome address to talk to the Neuburg students in person. In particular, he emphasised the opportunities and prospects that an international network opens up.

One of them is Grace Wogui from Luxembourg City. The 22-year-old has opted for the new English-language Bachelor's degree programme in Architecture. The programme combines design, technology, and digital planning and also places a clear focus on sustainability. The focus is on resource-conserving, circular construction that takes social requirements into account. Grace was particularly impressed by this interdisciplinary approach.

THI will further expand its range of courses for the winter semester 2026/27. The Bachelor's degree programme "Psychology and Sociology of Sustainable Transformation" is a new addition to the Neuburg campus. The programme focuses on the social and psychological dynamics of change processes. Students learn how to actively support transformations in companies, municipalities, or NGOs and how to make organisations more resilient. The reflective use of Artificial Intelligence is also an integral part of the curriculum.

The Sustainability Campus Neuburg thus offers contemporary study opportunities in a personalised learning environment - international in character, interdisciplinary in focus, and consistently oriented towards future topics.
