THI Business School recently welcomed two representatives from INTARIA AG to a practice-oriented course. Oliver Trautwein (Senior Manager) and Fabian Galler (Partner & Board Member) provided around 50 students from the Business Administration and International Management programs with exciting insights into the field of auditing.

As part of the lectures “Accounting and Annual Financial Statements” and “Bookkeeping, National and International Accounting” led by Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Zellner and Prof. Dr. Alois Rauscher, participants first received an overview of INTARIA AG and the tasks involved in auditing. In addition to information on admission requirements, exams, and career opportunities, a case study on inventory accounting according to HGB and IFRS was worked on together with the students.

Other focal points included an introduction to the risk-based audit approach, the concept of materiality, and typical audit procedures. The event was rounded off with an open exchange featuring many practical examples and information on entry-level opportunities, such as internships or working student positions.

THI Business School would like to thank INTARIA AG for its valuable input and looks forward to further cooperation.

Practical learning – directly in cooperation with companies and experts from the business world – is one of the core areas of teaching at THI Business School.

Anyone interested in studying at THI Business School can apply for the coming winter semester until August 31.
