Study Ambassador
That's how I informed myself:
I went to information events, clarified any unanswered questions with the Student Counselling and met with a study ambassador to attend a few lectures!
That's why I chose the study course at THI:
I liked the student-to-staff ratio better compared to a big university, for example.
My tip for study orientation:
Try it out, you'll never know how well you like something if you haven't done it yourself.
This can also start at home, the important thing is that you really get to grips with it yourself, then you'll see how you feel about it.
Contents of my academic studies:
UXD always focuses on the HCD process, as well as many different methodologies and implementation options for planning, realising, testing and improving a product that is optimised for the user.
You should have these character traits for the study course:
The will to create something, that's what development and design are all about, if you want to remain more theoretical this could present you with difficulties.
My favourite thing about the THI:
The supportive atmosphere and the good interaction with the professors/lecturers
You should have these professional strengths for the study course:
You start with the basics, but prior interest in design and development is very helpful.
My best experience/project during my academic studies:
A trip to the UX department of a large company
My insider tip for student life:
There are lots of group chats, student societies and events that you can discover via posters and university events.
