Welcome, Prof Fuat Yüksel!
We are very pleased to welcome Fuat Yüksel as a new professor at our faculty! He brings over 20 years of experience in the world of computer-generated 3D simulations and most recently worked as Head of FX at RISE Visual Effects Studios - Germany's leading visual effects studio. There he led an international team based in London, Berlin, Stuttgart and Munich. His impressive career includes work on blockbusters such as Fallout, Black Panther, Loki, Stranger Things, Guardians of the Galaxy II, Captain Marvel and many more for Marvel, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Studios. Prof Yüksel is also a sought-after speaker at international conferences - including Siggraph 2023 in Los Angeles - and has been an active beta tester of the 3D software Houdini since 2017. His current research interests include Gaussian Splatting and Universal Scene Description (USD).
Fuat Yüksel is particularly looking forward to working with our students at the interface of technology and design and introducing new technologies into teaching and research.
