On the weekend of March 1 to 3, 2024, the Open Search Foundation and the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing are hosting a public conference on freedom of information on the Internet. The conference is being organized by Prof. Dr. Alexander Decker, Head of Marketing, Sales and Media (M.A.) and Vice Dean at the THI Business School. He is also a founding member of the non-profit Open Search Foundation. Its aim is to create the basis for independent, free and self-determined access to information on the Internet in a European context.

Speakers at the conference include media scientist and bestselling author Dr. Martin Andree ("Big Tech muss weg"), Lajla Fetic (expert on AI and digital policy), Dr. Nicolas Dierks (philosopher and podcaster) and pastor Dr. Sabrina Wilkenshof (representative of the digital church on Instagram). A team from the "Common Grounds Forum" will contribute the views of young people: In the workshop debugging digitalization, students will carry out the 'reality check' for digital policy. The programme and the opportunity to register can be found on the website of the Evangelische Akademie. The conference is open to the public, no specialist knowledge is required.
