Bavarian Library Day in Ingolstadt for the first time

On September 12th and 13th, the Library of the Technical University of Ingolstadt, the Ingolstadt Public Library, and the Library of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt will host the event.

The motto of this year's Library Day is "Libraries - Ready for GenZ and KI? In various formats, speakers will explore the question of what impact AI will have on libraries and how the cultural practice of reading will develop in the future.

The Bavarian Library Day will begin on September 12th at 10 a.m. with a press conference on the premises of the THI, at which the board of the Bavarian Library Association will present the planned events and highlight current developments in the Bavarian library landscape.

The event will then continue at 11 a.m. with the opening of Library Day by Dr. Ute Eiling-Hütig, Member of the State Parliament and Chairwoman of the Bavarian Library Association. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Steffi Burkhart on the subject of the demands placed on libraries by young customers and employees.
