How will we move in the future? What opportunities do technical innovations offer? What challenges must be mastered? The answers to these and many other questions about future mobility will be presented at the "Zukunftsforum Mobilität".
On 20 November, experts from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) and Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) will examine various aspects of future mobility. For example, Prof. Dr. Riener will give a keynote speech on the evolution of automated driving, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Hof will report on the results on vehicle safety from a cooperation project with Continental, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Holzhammer will discuss e-mobility as a driver of the energy turnaround in Region 10.
The specialist presentations will be lightened up by numerous "science slams", short, humorous lectures on current research topics by the scientists. For example, Prof. Dr. Harry Wagner will ask the question: "The mobility pyramid - older than the pharaoh?" And Prof. Dr. Andreas Festag wants to know: "5G - What works?". The audience chooses the best science slammer at the end of the event.
The Zukunftsforum Mobilität will be broadcast live on the Internet from 1 pm to 6 pm. Participation is free of charge. Registration is required. All participants can get in direct contact with the experts, ask questions and join in the discussion, exchange information online with other participants and network.

The Zukunftsforum Mobilität is organised by "Mensch in Bewegung", a joint project of THI and KU. Together with partners from business, politics and civil society, the two universities are building a regional network for the exchange of knowledge. The topics are innovative mobility, digital transformation, sustainable development and civic engagement. The project will be funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the State of Bavaria over five years with around 15 million euros as part of the funding initiative "Innovative Hochschule".
