Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) has awarded this year's German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) prize to Rosana de Fátima Duarte. The Brazilian is a seventh-semester student in the Engineering and Management bachelor's program at THI. Duarte receives the award for her very good academic performance and her commitment to the university, especially as a student representative in the faculty council, as a member of the student council and as a member of Network & International Culture Exchange (N.I.C.E.), an association of international students. THI President Prof. Dr. Walter Schober and Sonja Bedington, head of the university's International Office, presented Ms. Duarte with the certificate and congratulated her warmly.
The DAAD prize, worth 1,000 euros per participating university, has been awarded to international students at German universities for outstanding achievements for more than ten years. The prize is intended to help put faces to the large numbers of international students and to honor their achievements.
