For Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), the health of students and staff is a top priority. That is why the 3G rule has been in force at the THI since the beginning of the semester and is checked on a large scale. Currently, according to the checks carried out on students, the vaccination/geneto-gene rate among students is around95 per cent, which is above average compared to other organisational units. Furthermore, FFP2 masks are mandatory for all events (regardless of distances), regular ventilation and the provision of testing capacities are an integral part of the university's internal hygiene concept. A switch to 2G is not planned in view of the high vaccination/genetics rate.
The university is planning a complete conversion of previous face-to-face courses to online operation from 6 December until the Christmas break. THI President Prof. Dr. Walter Schober says: "We thank the students who create responsibility for themselves and their environment with the high vaccination/genesis rate of about 95 percent. This also justifies the continuation of the face-to-face courses. Nevertheless, the switch to digital mode three weeks before Christmas can also make a plannable and justifiable contribution to the pandemic reduction before Christmas by reducing student mobility. The present lectures, especially for exam preparation, will then start again on 10.1.2022."
