Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) will start the new Bachelor's degree program Global Economics and Business Management (B.A.) at the THI Business School in the winter semester 2020/21.

The seven-semester management programme in English and German provides students with skills for working in internationally operating companies and organisations - from basic business administration to operations management in an international environment to digital transformation and business models. Students choose a specialisation, supplemented by a look at global markets with cross-border value chains.

In the course of their studies, students also focus on a world region of their choice, for example North and South America, Europe or Asia-Pacific, and spend a semester abroad as well as an internship abroad in this region. In return, they learn another foreign language spoken in the respective target region, e.g. English, French, Spanish or Chinese. Some of the international partner universities offer the possibility of acquiring a so-called "Double Degree", i.e. in addition to the Bachelor's degree at the THI, a full degree from the partner university is also possible. In this case, students complete a total of two theoretical semesters there.

The course can also be studied in a dual system or with in-depth practical experience. Depending on the chosen specialisation, there are later opportunities for employment in management positions in globally active companies, as an International Management Consultant, as a country expert in chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of foreign trade and as a manager in international organisations and centres of competence for markets.

Applications for the new course of study can be submitted until August 20.
