Insights into university life were available on site last weekend. For the first time in two years, the entire Higher Education Information Day (HIT) at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt took place directly on campus. On Friday afternoon, the new campus in Neuburg opened its doors to interested parties, and on Saturday, numerous visitors to Ingolstadt learned about degree programmes, the application process, laboratory equipment and everything important about studying.

In addition to lectures and information stands in the auditorium, study ambassadors offered campus tours, which were very well received. In small groups, interested parties received insights into student life and got to know the campus directly from the students in tours lasting almost an hour each. Student ambassador Hannah Ott, who represented the International Management degree programme, said: "I am very surprised at how precisely some people want to get information. I received a lot of personal questions and detailed enquiries about the content of the degree programmes and how I personally feel about studying here."

The 29 laboratory tours offered were also in high demand. The tours of the wind tunnel and virtual reality laboratory were already fully booked in advance. The CARISSMA research and test centre provided exciting insights into one of the university's key research areas.

The interest in dual studies is unbroken, as organiser Bettina Markl was able to ascertain: "Prospective students use the opportunity here after the panel discussion with company partners to network and ask questions about requirements and the application process."

The field of study of sustainable infrastructure was presented at the new campus in Neuburg. Interested people travelled up to 500 kilometres to get a first-hand impression of the campus, the professors and the partly unique study programmes.
