The CARISSMA Research and Test Centre at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) will host "crash.tech 2021" on 17 and 18 March. The 15th crash.tech, which is organised by the TÜV SÜD Academy, will take place this time as an online conference.

The two-day congress will focus on vehicle and road safety against the backdrop of the current upheaval in mobility. One of the causes of this change is the increasing automation of vehicles. Other drivers of the development include trends such as shared mobility or the increase in new mobility concepts such as micromobility.

In presentations, experts from the automotive industry and research will answer questions about the effects of automated driving on road safety. In particular, they will address passive safety and the test and simulation methods required for this. They will also provide an outlook on the development of vehicle safety up to 2030.
On the THI side, crash.tech is chaired by Prof. Dr. Lothar Wech, Professor of Vehicle Safety and spokesperson for the CARISSMA Research and Test Centre.
