Experts on the simulation of sustainable energy systems visit THI

Once a year, the user community of the CARNOT toolbox, an application within the MATLAB/Simulink simulation environment, meets for a professional exchange.

21 participants from German-speaking countries met with 19 further simulation experts who were connected online for the professional exchange.

This year, the Institute for New Energy Systems (InES) hosted the two-day event. After a short introduction for beginners, current developments of the simulation tool were presented, as well as its application in ongoing research projects for the simulation of complex energy systems. The event was also enriching for participating students who already work with the toolbox to make contact with representatives from industry.
Personal conclusion of Prof. Schrag, who supervises several Ph.D. students at InES working with the CARNOT toolbox: "It was a very valuable exchange where we got important tips and suggestions for our projects and were also able to share our experiences with other subject matter experts."
