For the first time, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) will receive funding for a project within the framework of the scholarship programme International Study and Training Partnerships (ISAP) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which starts in July.

This new AWARE project, called eng.join!, is intended to build a lasting bridge between the undergraduate courses of the Department of Mobility Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the English-language Engineering and Management course at the THI by providing scholarships for students to stay at the partner university and by enabling the exchange of teaching staff. The course coordinator for "Engineering and Management", Prof. Dr. Andrea Eisenberg, and the main coordinator of UFSC's partnership with THI, Prof. Dr. Maurício de Campos Porath, developed the project idea with the support of the AWARE Center. After a two-year funding period to establish the basics, the eng.join! team can apply for funding for another 4 years.

The DAAD instrument ISAP was launched ten years ago in order to support the internationalisation of universities through the exchange of brains. The THI is being funded for the first time and will deepen its competence in this programme in the coming years.
