The Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) has set another milestone in the development of the new university location in Neuburg an der Donau. Prof. Dr. Jana Bochert, Professor of Construction Informatics, Construction Mechanics and Fundamentals of Civil Engineering, was appointed provisional founding dean of the Faculty of Sustainable Infrastructure at the Neuburg campus by the university management in agreement with the Neuburg professors.

With this, the newly emerging faculty will begin its work at the start of the summer semester and will administer itself in the same way as the Ingolstadt faculties. THI President Prof. Dr. Walter Schober: "The university management thanks Prof. Bochert for taking over this position on a provisional basis and wishes her great success in the further development of the faculty and the Neuburg location."

As soon as the location is staffed with seven professors, the faculty in Neuburg will be officially established. This will probably be the case for the coming winter semester.

The Neuburg campus started operations in the winter semester of 2021. Around 100 young people are currently studying in the Max IV Josef building, the first renovated building on the site of the former Lassigny-Kaserne. The campus is to become a "green" ensemble of new and existing buildings, making it possible to network studying, research, teaching, living and leisure.
